How does Jerry, a shy computer-nerd, wind up inside an interrogation room? In a convoluted tale of action and absurdity, Jerry faces shady, larger-than-life characters as he's thrust into dangerous situations. Forced to be brave, he must now learn that anyone can be a hero, even a nerd. And It all starts with a mysterious pizza delivery...
Jerry is an action-packed performance about danger and courage with a storyline that combines pop culture and Le Cordeur’s appetite for superhero comics. He skilfully morphs between numerous characters, making use of physical theatre and unconventional lighting effects to isolate and shape the unfolding narrative.
The production first had a showcase at Artscape Theatre in 2016. Thereafter it was developed further with Jeremeo Le Cordeur, Ian van der Westhuizen, Lee Roodt and Dean van der Ventel and premiered at Alexander bar Theatre & Café in November 2018. Since then we've hadperformances at the very first Fringe festival within the Woordfees programme in Stellenbosch. And at Suidoosterfees in Cape Town CBD where the production were awarded the NATi (National Afrikaans Theatre Initiative) Rising Star Award for 2019.
